Hi Simonaa,

I'm so sorry you're having such a bad day. I think we all experience what you're going through from time to time. What makes me feel best is no one on the board for the 12 years it has been going has turned out to have <you know what>, as far as we know.

I've only been twitching for 3 months. Some days I'm totally fine and forget about it, others I twitch so much it's hard to get my mind off of it.

Like you, I'm really thinking the season change (to winter) is not helping my mood about it.

Hang in there, and try to treat your anxiety/depression as much as you can!!

People's symptoms always get worse when the weather gets cold. Check the archives, do a search for "winter." This happens every year on this board around this time, it is certainly nothing to be worried about.
1. No, that's not bulbar
2. No, the location doesn't matter
3. Yes, we have all had that symptom
4. No, you're not the exception
5. No, that's not ominous
6. No, you don't need an EMG
7. Yes, you will be fine

Hi simonaa, the cold always makes people feel worse..have u ever heard of seasonal affective disorder? It's an anxiety disorder where people get low and depressed when the sun goes away...eg winter....I personally always feel worse when it's dark and gloomy outside..I love the sun...

BFS is always worse for me when it gets cold. This summer I saw a major reduction in my twitches but now that the colder air is here they are acting up bad again. There is no rhyme or reason with this stuff but it's not ALS.

What if you get a satelite in the head? So much space-junk these days... Raining down on us... Nothing in life is 100% certain. Almost 50% will die of cancer. Then you got the traffic, the violence, aircrashes, suicide, heard-strokes, brain-damage, risk of wild running nuclear war-heads, train-accidents, revolutions, you name it...

Life will come to an end, dude. And one of the keys is to live it while its here. Even people with ALS understand this... How come you dont? You have BFS thats not even remotely dangerous....
