NAC supplement

Postby johnny999 on July 29th, 2011, 6:30 pm

Just got a new bottle of NAC and I'm going to ramp up my dosage (now that the sun is out, vitamin D is unnecessary, so this will be my only supplement).
Glutathione can't be absorbed with standard supplements, but NAC is probably the best way to boost G (and most affordable).

I've been doing 500 mg a day, but got to 2000 mg yesterday and today with no ill effects. If there's an oxidative-stress or liver detox related cause to my twitching, hopefully this will yield benefits within a months.

Also, if getting NAC, make sure to get pills, NOT crystal powder - the powder is very acidic when mixed with drinks and will give you heartburn. This is avoided with pills.

No changes in twitching, after one week :(

I'm going to reduce to 500 mg per day until the bottle is done.

I just started up some Inositol which is recommended for OCD and anxiety (I've been starting to have some anxiety again the past few days, NOT health-related anxiety though)
