BFS and IBS

Postby nonstop on May 30th, 2011, 8:11 pm

So I have been struggling with IBS along with the BFS. I started taking NK3 by source naturals and it has done wonders for my IBS. I think it has also helped with the BFS.

So, no thanks to the medical community, I have discovered that 5htp helps with 90-95% of my IBS symptoms. It has been an absolute godsend. Before I discovered this I was on my way to wearing adult diapers. Nice. Forget the Elavil or the probiotics, although they help, it's the 5htp. 98% of the serotonin in your body is in your guts.

I have strong reason to believe my infection has caused all my problems. I read that viruses can influence serotonin. I think they can also influence other transmitters and chemicals, hence the BFS and IBS and other symptoms.

35 g of dietary fiber and drinking 2 gallons of water per day and my IBS is history unless I'm in a massively heightened anxiety period.

I've had IBS though since I was 10.
