Aaron,
Makes sense...I love my "extra" glass of wine some nights. I guess we all have our ways of coping. Believe me, I am as anxious as the next person. It is probably why I got this condition in the first place.
When I read the new posts, I know how they feel...the terror of it all, but I also know that 99% of them {if not 100%} will be fine. They will be driven nuts with this stuff.. but fine. Truly the biggest thing that helped me was gutting out 6 or so months and realizing{accepting} my body had not changed. After that period of time, the twitching mellowed a lot and this in turn helped me cope..on and on!!
I also have a friend with ALS. I see the differences in progression, ie. he has a lot...I have none. I also know his EMG's were weird from the beginning and that he had pronounced weakness several months {like 10} before he started twitching. I guess all of this helped me believe my doctors, let time pass, and get on with it.
Thanks for your insight.
